Applies to: Selfinity for Android and iOS, and the website getselfinity.com.
1. Introduction and acceptance
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Mindoria Studio ("Mindoria Studio", "we", "us"), based in Türkiye, governing your use of the Selfinity mobile app for Android and iOS and of getselfinity.com (together, the "Service").
By creating an account, continuing as a guest, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.

Medical disclaimer — please read. Selfinity is a general wellbeing and self-improvement product. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition, and it is not a substitute for professional medical, psychiatric, psychological, nutritional or therapeutic advice.
The CBT-inspired exercises, self-assessment questionnaires, nutrition estimates, sleep and step figures, wellbeing scores and AI-generated text in the app are informational and can be inaccurate. Never disregard professional advice or delay seeking it because of something you read in Selfinity. Always consult a qualified professional about a medical or mental-health concern.
Selfinity is not an emergency service. It cannot detect an emergency reliably and cannot summon help. If you are in crisis or in danger, contact your local emergency number or a crisis helpline immediately.
3. User accounts
3.1 Creating an account
You can use Selfinity with an email address and password, by signing in with Google, by signing in with Apple, or as a guest.
- You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Guest accounts let you use the app without registering. A guest account has no email address, so it cannot be recovered if you uninstall the app, lose your device or switch devices, and we cannot restore it for you. You may convert a guest account into a full account at any time, keeping your data.
- You may hold only one account per person unless we agree otherwise in writing.
3.2 Eligibility
- You must be at least 13 years old to use Selfinity.
- If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf.
- Where the age of digital consent in your country is higher than 13, that higher age applies unless a parent or guardian authorises your use.
- You must not be barred from using the Service under the laws of your country.
3.3 Your responsibility for your account
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account.
- Tell us at hello@getselfinity.com promptly if you suspect unauthorised use.
- You are responsible for your device and for any charges your carrier or platform applies.
4. Your content
4.1 You own your content
Everything you write, record or upload in Selfinity — journal entries, mood logs, thought records, gratitude notes, photos, vision boards and the rest — remains yours. We claim no ownership over it.
4.2 The licence you give us
So that the Service can work, you grant Mindoria Studio a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, back up, reproduce, transmit and display your content, strictly for the purpose of providing the Service to you. Concretely, this means:
- storing your content on our infrastructure (Supabase, hosted on Amazon Web Services) and syncing it to your devices;
- when, and only when, you use an AI feature, transmitting the relevant content to Google's Gemini API for processing, as described in section 8.1 and in section 5 of the Privacy Policy;
- generating your statistics, history and weekly reports.
This licence is limited to operating the Service. We do not sell your content, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not publish it. It terminates when you delete the content or your account, except for copies that remain briefly in encrypted backups as described in the Privacy Policy.
4.3 Content standards
Selfinity is mostly a private space, but where content can reach other people — for example a display name or a profile — you must not submit content that is unlawful, infringing, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or that impersonates another person.
5. Subscriptions and payments
5.1 Free and Premium
Selfinity offers a free tier and a paid Premium subscription. Premium unlocks additional content and features and raises or removes the usage limits on the AI features. The free tier does not contain advertisements. We may change what each tier includes, giving reasonable notice where a change materially reduces what you have paid for.
5.2 Billing, auto-renewal and cancellation
Premium is sold and billed by Apple through the App Store on iOS, and by Google through Google Play on Android. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status across your devices. We never receive or store your payment details.
- Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- To cancel on iOS: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Selfinity → Cancel Subscription.
- To cancel on Android: Google Play Store → Menu → Subscriptions → Selfinity → Cancel.
- Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep Premium access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Deleting your Selfinity account does not cancel your subscription. Cancel it in the store as well.
- Purchases made on one platform cannot be transferred to the other. A subscription bought on Google Play does not carry over to an iOS device, and vice versa.
5.3 Free trial
Where a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited if you buy a subscription during the trial. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it converts automatically into a paid subscription. Trial eligibility is determined by Apple or Google, not by us.
5.4 Refunds
- Because Apple and Google are the sellers of record, all refunds are handled by them under their own policies. We cannot issue, force or block a store refund.
- iOS: request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. Android: request it through Google Play.
- Nothing here limits any statutory refund or withdrawal right you have as a consumer — including the 14-day right of withdrawal for consumers in the European Union and the United Kingdom, and consumer rights under Turkish law.
- If a store refund fails for a reason within our control, write to hello@getselfinity.com and we will help.
5.5 Price changes
We may change subscription prices. A price change affects you only from the next renewal, and the store will notify you and, where required, ask you to consent before it applies. If you do not accept the new price, cancel before the renewal date.
6. Intellectual property
6.1 What we own
The Service — including the app, its source code, design, brand, logo, mascots, illustrations, written guides, stories, meditation and breathing audio, soundscapes and all other content we supply — is owned by Mindoria Studio or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of those rights to you.
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the Service for your own non-commercial purposes, in line with these Terms.
6.2 What you may not do
- Copy, modify, translate or create derivative works of the Service
- Reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble it, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits this despite the restriction
- Remove or alter any copyright, trademark or ownership notice
- Rent, lease, sell, sublicense or otherwise commercially exploit the Service or its content
- Extract, scrape or bulk-download our guides, stories, audio or other content
- Use our name, logo or brand assets without written permission
7. Prohibited conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or in breach of any applicable law or regulation
- Harass, threaten, defame or impersonate any person, including through display names or social features
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any account, server, database or part of the Service, or to another user's data
- Probe, scan or test the vulnerability of our systems, or breach any security or authentication measure
- Upload or transmit viruses, malware or any code intended to damage or disrupt the Service
- Use bots, scripts, modified clients, emulators or any automated means to interact with the Service, to farm experience points, diamonds, streaks, achievements or rewards, or otherwise to manipulate the in-app progression economy
- Interfere with or place an unreasonable load on the Service or its infrastructure
- Circumvent, disable or interfere with any usage limit, quota, paywall or security feature
- Resell, redistribute or provide access to Premium features to people who have not paid for them
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches this section, and where warranted may reverse fraudulently obtained in-app rewards.
8. Third-party services
8.1 AI features (Google Gemini)
Selfinity's optional AI features are powered by Google's Gemini API, called from our own server. When you use one of these features, the relevant content is sent to Google for processing:
- Meal photo scan: the photo of your meal and, if you correct the result, your correction note.
- Komorebi assistant: your conversation with the assistant and the names of your own personal-care tasks and routines.
- Thought analysis: the automatic thought you wrote and the cognitive distortions you selected.
- Weekly report: derived factual summaries of your week and recurring theme keywords — not your raw journal or thought text.
Section 5 of the Privacy Policy sets this out in full. Google acts as our processor and does not use this content to train its general-purpose models. If you do not want content sent to Google, do not use these features; the rest of the app works without them.
AI output is generated text and can be wrong. Nutrition estimates from a photo, assistant replies, thought analyses and weekly reports may be inaccurate, incomplete or inappropriate for your situation. Treat them as suggestions to consider, never as medical, psychological or nutritional advice, and use your own judgement.
8.2 Nutrition data and speech recognition
- Open Food Facts: barcode and food searches are answered from the Open Food Facts database, a third-party collaborative project. The data is contributed by volunteers and may be incomplete, outdated or wrong. Always check the product's own label, especially for allergens.
- Speech recognition: dictation uses your device operating system's speech recognition (Google on Android, Apple on iOS), which is subject to their terms and privacy policies.
8.3 App stores and third-party links
Your use of the App Store or Google Play is also governed by their own terms. The Service may link to third-party websites or resources that we neither control nor endorse, and we are not responsible for their content, practices or availability.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
9.1 The Service is provided "as is"
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free; that defects will be corrected; that data you enter will never be lost; or that any result, insight, estimate or AI-generated text will be accurate or suitable for you. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.
9.2 Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mindoria Studio will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you actually paid us or through the app stores for Selfinity in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) EUR 50.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for gross negligence or wilful misconduct. If you are a consumer, your mandatory statutory rights are unaffected.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mindoria Studio and its officers, employees and agents from any claim, demand, loss, liability or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, your violation of any law, or your infringement of a third party's rights. This does not apply to the extent the claim arises from our own breach, negligence or wilful misconduct.
11. Suspension and termination
11.1 Termination by you
- You may stop using Selfinity at any time.
- You may delete your account in the app: Settings → Account → Delete my account. This permanently removes your account and its data from our servers. It is immediate and irreversible, and we cannot restore it.
- You may instead request deletion by email, as described in section 9 of the Privacy Policy.
- Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription and does not by itself entitle you to a refund of the current period. Cancel the subscription in the App Store or Google Play — section 5.2.
11.2 Suspension or termination by us
We may suspend or terminate your access, with notice where reasonably possible, if you materially breach these Terms, if you use the Service unlawfully or abusively, if it is necessary to protect the Service or other users, or if we are legally required to. We may also discontinue the Service or a feature, giving reasonable advance notice and, where you have paid for an unexpired period, a pro-rata refund of that period where the law requires it.
On termination, your right to use the Service ends. Sections 4.1, 6, 9, 10, 14 and 16 survive.
12. Privacy and data protection
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, what we deliberately do not collect, exactly what the AI features send to Google, what never leaves your device, and how to exercise your rights. It forms part of these Terms.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the Service or the law changes. We will change the effective date at the top and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the Service and, if you wish, delete your account.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, and the courts of Türkiye have jurisdiction.
Consumer protection. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer-protection rules, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of your own country. Consumers in Türkiye may also apply to the Consumer Arbitration Committees (Tüketici Hakem Heyetleri) or Consumer Courts.
Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us at hello@getselfinity.com. Most problems can be solved quickly and informally.
15. Severability and waiver
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions stay in full force. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it.
16. General
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Mindoria Studio regarding the Service and replace any earlier version. You may not assign your rights under these Terms; we may assign ours to a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. If a translated version of these Terms conflicts with the English version, the English version prevails.
16.1 Additional terms for users of the Apple App Store
The following applies if you obtained Selfinity from the Apple App Store. Where it conflicts with the rest of these Terms, this section prevails for that purpose.
- Acknowledgement. These Terms are concluded between you and Mindoria Studio only, and not with Apple. Mindoria Studio, not Apple, is solely responsible for Selfinity and its content.
- Scope of licence. The licence granted to you is a non-transferable licence to use Selfinity on any Apple-branded product that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
- Maintenance and support. Mindoria Studio is solely responsible for any maintenance and support services. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support for Selfinity.
- Warranty. In the event of any failure of Selfinity to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the app. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to Selfinity, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to any warranty are the sole responsibility of Mindoria Studio.
- Product claims. Mindoria Studio, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to Selfinity or your possession and use of it, including product liability claims, any claim that Selfinity fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection, privacy or similar legislation.
- Intellectual property claims. If a third party claims that Selfinity infringes its intellectual property rights, Mindoria Studio is solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of that claim.
- Legal compliance. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Third-party beneficiary. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, will have the right to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
